Senior Palo Alto Engineer
Job Description
This fully remote position is available anywhere in the continental U.S. We are seeking a skilled and consultative Senior Palo Alto Engineer strong in both technical and soft skills. The ideal candidate will be driven and proactive, adept at problem-solving, and able to effectively communicate and collaborate within diverse project teams, interfacing seamlessly with customers, vendor partners, and colleagues. You will establish and maintain productive relationships with the delivery, practice management, and client management teams, delivering independently on complex projects. As a technical escalation point, you'll assist junior engineers, lead capacity planning and HW specification efforts, and manage all deployment activities, including connector configuration, custom rule development, and third-party system integration. Lead User Acceptance Testing and provide knowledge transfer and post-production support. Maintain professional knowledge by attending workshops and participating in professional associations. Act as a contributor in Optiv communities and develop/maintain runbooks/procedural documentation.
Qualifications
1. U.S. Citizenship required. 2. CJIS Background Check and Fingerprinting required. 3. Current PCNSE certification required. 4. Hands-on experience implementing Palo Alto, including Prisma Access, Prisma Cloud and optionally Prisma Cortex. 5. Hands-on engineering experience with Palo Alto's Strata Cloud Manager. 6. Hands-on experience with cloud providers specifically AWS, Azure and optionally GCP. 7. Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Palo Alto. 8. Minimum 6 years of professional Information Security experience in a consulting, vendor or enterprise-level role. 9. Practical InfoSec/Cyber implementation experience. 10. Fully qualified/certified on 1 or more technologies. 11. Experience in a customer-facing/consulting capacity. 12. Demonstrated ability to lead junior colleagues.
