Senior Operational Planner – Medical Logistics Operations and Plans Analyst
Job Description
The Senior Operational Planner will: 1. Pinpoint and evaluate operational-level medical logistics needs from lower-level inputs, assessing them against existing and expected resources, and advising leadership. 2. Keep track of communications to spot new medical logistics demands and problems. 3. Create and oversee Health Service Support (HSS) medical logistics Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms). 4. Assess staff documents, like briefings and action plans, offering valuable feedback. 5. Take part in groups, planning teams, meetings, and discussions with Marine Forces Pacific and other commands. 6. Update task trackers on Microsoft Teams to maintain task visibility. 7. Provide weekly updates and flag issues for leadership. 8. Offer medical logistics insights for annual evaluations and planning cycles, also aiding in trip reports. 9. Inform planning events by providing evaluations and expertise. 10. Stay updated on policy changes and recommend necessary adjustments. 11. Give medical logistics input for exercise plans and ensure planning is aligned with logistical realities. 12. Produce well-supported recommendations and reports, identifying gaps and assessing capabilities. 13. Deliver regular reports aligned with government standards. 14. Review internal documents to eliminate errors and ensure accuracy. 15. Complete required training for compliance.
Qualifications
1. At least six years of experience in military logistics. 2. Ability to work independently on critical tasks. 3. Experience with Department of Defense logistics networks. 4. Knowledge of United States Navy medical logistics systems, including MAXIMO Logistics Command & Control. 5. Proficiency with collaboration tools like SharePoint and Microsoft Office. 6. Strong communication skills. 7. Military schooling such as Staff Non-commissioned Officer Academy. 8. Experience with Global Combat Support System–Marine Corps (GCSS-MC) functions. 9. Supply chain or logistics certifications. 10. Healthcare or medical logistics credential. 11. Relevant military occupational experience. 12. Project Management Professional certification or equivalent. 13. Additional Military Education that enhances planning effectiveness.
