Senior Network Engineer

Job Description

Leidos is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to lead network architecture implementation across various environments, including LAN/WAN, data centers, and the cloud. This role involves designing and supporting MPLS and SD-WAN networks, architecting data center infrastructure solutions, and implementing Cisco ACI. Responsibilities include device authentication, network access control using Cisco ISE, and managing network security with Cisco Firepower. The engineer will design secure access for enterprise applications, implement new network configurations on Zero Trust architecture via Zscaler, and mitigate security controls. Additional duties involve addressing ServiceNow incidents, architecting secure VPN solutions, and providing technical leadership and mentoring.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree with 8-12 years of relevant experience or Master's degree with 6-10 years of experience. 2. Strong experience in network architecture design and implementation. 3. Deep expertise in networking technologies (routing, switching, security, firewall, load balancers, VPN, NAC, and data center fabrics). 4. Experience with enterprise security architecture and Zero Trust frameworks. 5. Experience supporting federal or large enterprise environments. 6. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and leadership skills. 7. Excellent customer service skills. 8. Excellent oral and written communication skills. 9. Strong leadership skills. 10. Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams/functions. 11. Ability to work independently with a sense of urgency.
