Senior Manager, Technology Risk

Job Description

Join Empower as a Senior Manager, Technology Risk, and lead a team overseeing AI/ML risk management. You'll establish risk governance for Generative AI and Machine Learning solutions, provide risk reviews of AI/ML model design and deployment, and partner with various teams to integrate effective risk controls. Additionally, you'll manage third-party vendor risks, translate technical risks into insights for senior leaders, and monitor regulatory guidance. Supervise analysts, manage performance, and foster team development.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, Risk Management, or a related field is essential. 2. A Master’s degree is preferred, particularly in Data Science, Cybersecurity, Risk Management, or an MBA. 3. Relevant experience can substitute for advanced education. 4. Proven leadership skills in coaching and developing talent. 5. Comprehensive understanding of AI/ML technologies, including LLMs, model training, validation, and deployment. 6. Familiarity with Responsible AI principles, model risk management, and data governance. 7. Capable of assessing and challenging intricate technical risks. 8. Excellent communication skills with the capacity to influence senior leadership. 9. Demonstrated ability to thrive in dynamic technology environments.
