Senior Manager, Quality Engineering

Job Description

Assess the effectiveness of critical functions, including test planning, test case development, test execution, and test reporting. Design a systematic approach for detecting software defects and determining the severity and priority of identified issues. Coach the quality assurance team to enhance capabilities and reinforce standards in alignment with industry trends and software engineering practices. Conduct most complex evaluations for the quality assurance team to assess the quality of software and applications. Confer with test automation experts to help optimize the quality assurance processes within the software engineering department. Deliver a comprehensive quality assurance strategy that outlines the roadmap, timelines, and standards for software projects. Design a monitoring system to track project progress and manage expectations to ensure alignment with engineering project goals. Forecast the resource requirements for quality assurance activities based on project scope, deadlines, and complexity. Help establish and implement metrics and reporting mechanisms to track the effectiveness of the quality assurance initiatives for software projects.

Qualifications

1. 5-7 years relevant work experience 2. Certified Software Quality Engineer (CSQE) preferred 3. Bachelor's degree preferred/specialized training/relevant professional qualification/equivalent experience 4. Adept at problem solving and decision making 5. Adept at collaboration and teamwork 6.
