Senior Manager, Program Finance & Control, Scheduling

Job Description

Independently determines methods and procedures for new or specialized tasks. Works on special assignments with consultative guidance towards long-term objectives. Self-initiates tasks and operates with minimal supervision. Develops networks for group coordination and serves as the primary consultant and spokesperson for the organization on significant policy and program matters. Responsible for supporting scheduling activities of programs with moderate to high risk and complexity. Possesses a strong understanding of earned value management practices, government guidelines, scheduling fundamentals, and Microsoft Project. Capable of developing management information from the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for corrective action, critical path analysis, and performance tracking. Prepares and coordinates the integrated master plan and schedule to meet program objectives, ensuring horizontal and vertical integration across functional groups such as Finance, Engineering, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Quality. Tracks plans, solicits updates, and resolves critical path conflicts. Utilizes schedule risk assessments, milestone charts, earned value management, and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify variances. Generates initial IMP/IMS models from Proposal documents and ensures all Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) items are accounted for in the IMS. Verifies deliverables in the Statement of Work (SOW) are adequately planned and key decisions are documented. Ensures all SOW scope is modeled in the IMS, assists in developing WBS in accordance with MIL-STD-881, and works with cost analysts to reconcile cost and schedule. Leads in developing training material for program specialists and in the testing of new tools. Applies company policies to ensure compliance.

Qualifications

1. Requires a University Degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with 7 years of experience. 2. Must be a U.S. Citizen to access information under this program/contract. 3. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued Security Clearance. 4. Ability to gain a DOD Security clearance 5. Ability to travel up to 10%
