Senior Manager, Global Payroll

Job Description

Join our team as a Senior Manager, Global Payroll, and take the lead in overseeing our global payroll operations. You'll ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for employees across multiple regions, while also ensuring compliance with local, regional, and international payroll regulations, tax laws, and labor laws. Drive the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of standardized global payroll processes, policies, and controls. Manage the global payroll team, providing leadership, mentorship, and support to regional payroll managers. Collaborate with HR, finance, tax, legal, and external payroll vendors to align payroll operations with business goals. Oversee payroll system implementations, upgrades, and integrations, ensuring successful deployment and minimal disruption to payroll activities. Proactively identify and resolve payroll discrepancies, ensuring timely resolution of employee inquiries and escalations. Develop, track, and report key payroll performance metrics and KPIs to senior leadership. Lead year-end payroll activities, including tax filings, audits, and compliance reviews. Partner with internal audit teams to conduct regular payroll audits and ensure payroll accuracy and compliance. Manage vendor relationships, ensuring high-quality service delivery and exploring opportunities for vendor consolidation or outsourcing where applicable. Stay updated on global payroll trends, laws, and best practices, advising leadership on potential risks and opportunities. Provide strategic direction for payroll-related initiatives to support business growth and improve service delivery.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field 2. 8+ years of experience in payroll operations, with at least 5 years in a global payroll leadership role 3. Experience working with global payroll systems (ADP, Workday, SAP, Oracle, etc.) 4. Experience with managing payroll compliance for large multinational organizations 5. Experience with Excel and Google Workspace 6. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or equivalent certification (preferred) 7. Extensive experience in global payroll management, with a proven track record in handling multi-country payroll operations 8. In-depth knowledge of international payroll compliance, regulations, and tax laws 9. Experience leading payroll system implementations, integrations, and upgrades, with strong project management skills 10. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze payroll data and make data-driven decisions 11. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership 12. Experience managing vendor relationships, including third-party payroll providers and consultants 13. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the highest level of discretion 14. Strong understanding of payroll technology, including platforms such as ADP, Workday, SAP, or Oracle
