Senior Manager, Coding Auditing, Education

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Manager to direct our audit team in completing external audits through effective prioritization and organization of projects. This role involves the preparation and presentation of coding audit findings to both clients and the internal coding team. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training Audit and Education Specialists (Auditors), as well as monitoring and evaluating their performance to implement improvement strategies. The Senior Manager will analyze, review, and resolve coding and documentation issues related to reimbursement, compliance, and revenue enhancement, ensuring that auditors consistently meet or exceed our 95% quality standard. Furthermore, the role requires collaboration with the sales team to develop proposals and support new customer discovery.

Qualifications

1. Requires a minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience. 2. A minimum of ten years of experience in conducting coding audits is essential. 3. Must hold one or more active credentials from AHIMA and/or AAPC, such as CCS, CCS-P, CPC, CPMA, RHIA, or RHIT. 4. Requires a strong working knowledge of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, MS DRG and APR DRG assignments, CPT, HCPCS, and applicable NCCI edits. 5. Experience with multiple electronic medical record systems and encoders is necessary.
