Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer – z/OS, Network

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer to manage z/OS network installations and configurations. This role involves installing and maintaining Connect:Direct (NDM), MSM, and InterTest Batch using SMP/E. You will design and develop utilities (REXX) to streamline processes, and support a redundant TCPIP network for a Parallel Sysplex using Dynamic VIPA, Sysplex Distributor, and HiperSockets. Additionally, you will support non-shared USS file systems in a Shared File system accessible by all LPARs within a Sysplex, support and diagnose AT-TLS configurations, troubleshoot started task abends utilizing IPCS, apply Ciphers and license certificates, and resolve network connection issues using packet traces.

Qualifications

1. 9+ years of experience with z/OS mainframe communications. 2. 7+ years of experience with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and a deep understanding of core networking protocols, including hands-on experience with Cisco routers and switches. 3. 7+ years of experience configuring and managing secure data transmissions with firewalls and VPNs. 4. 7+ years of experience with JCL, UNIX Shell, IBM system utilities, and network monitoring tools. 5. Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
