Senior Finops Analyst

Job Description

First American is seeking a Senior FinOps Analyst to manage and optimize cloud spending across various platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP. The role involves monitoring cloud expenditures to identify cost drivers and trends, and providing detailed reports and dashboards to stakeholders. The analyst will collaborate with engineering and product teams to implement cost-optimization strategies, support cloud budget development, and contribute to the development of FinOps frameworks to ensure transparency and efficiency. The ideal candidate will promote FinOps best practices across Finance, Procurement, and Cloud Operations teams, enabling data-driven cost decisions by automating cost tracking and reporting using both native and third-party tools.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field. 2. 5+ years of experience in cloud cost management, FinOps, or financial analysis. 3. Strong Excel and data visualization skills (Power BI, Tableau, or Grafana). 4. Good understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cost management tools. 5. Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., Python, SQL) is a plus. 6. Strong analytical mindset, communication, stakeholder management, and business acumen.
