Job Description

As a Senior Field Service Technician, you will: Provide expert guidance and support to the work group to achieve assigned objectives. Perform installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance on electrical distribution equipment. Take responsibility for hands-on project execution, including startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, engineering, design, and repair of power delivery equipment. Lead outages involving other field engineers, technicians, and contractors, with project management responsibilities. Carry out administrative tasks such as writing technical reports, ordering materials, securing quotations, and preparing job status reports, customer reports, timesheets, and expense sheets. Plan, prepare, and deliver internal and external training programs as needed.

Qualifications

1. High School Diploma and 8 years of relevant engineering / field experience is required. 2. Equivalent formal education may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis. 3. Must be willing to travel up to 75% of the time. 4. Experience in the repair and refurbishment of LV and MV circuit breakers is advantageous. 5. Technical skills in testing, commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting medium voltage synchronous machines are advantageous. 6. Must already have work authorization to work for ABB in the US.
