Senior Epic Lab Analyst

Job Description

Appex Innovation is seeking a Senior Epic Lab Analyst to lead end-to-end implementation and optimization of EPIC Beaker (CP/AP) modules. You will architect and configure complex lab workflows, including specimen collection, accessioning, testing, resulting, and reporting. As a subject matter expert (SME), you'll collaborate with lab leadership, pathologists, clinicians, and IT teams to define scalable solutions. Key responsibilities include overseeing test catalog build, driving system testing, troubleshooting critical issues, ensuring regulatory compliance, mentoring junior analysts, and leading continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

1. Must be Epic Certified in Beaker (CP and/or AP). 2. Possess strong expertise in laboratory workflows and Lab Information Systems (LIS). 3. Have hands-on experience with HL7 interfaces, lab instruments, and middleware. 4. Demonstrate a strong understanding of healthcare data, reporting, and integrations. 5. Knowledge of SQL/reporting is preferred. 6. Exhibit excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills. 7. Hold a Bachelor’s degree in IT, Healthcare, Life Sciences, or a related field. 8. Have 8 years of experience in Epic Beaker or Lab systems. 9. Have experience leading at least one full-cycle Epic implementation. 10. Have proven experience in production support and large-scale healthcare environments.
