Job Description

Join FIGS as a Senior Backend Engineer and contribute to the development and optimization of our backend services, ensuring resilience, performance, and scalability. You'll work with AWS and Kubernetes, utilizing tools like Flux and Argo for GitOps workflows. Support the creation, management, and orchestration of cloud infrastructure components using Terraform or AWS CDK. Contribute to building robust database solutions with PostgreSQL and optimizing search functionalities with ElasticSearch. Participate in architectural discussions and collaborate with fellow engineers, absorbing best practices in Java and cloud-native technologies. Assist in engineering decisions, considering cost efficiency and data security under the guidance of senior leadership.

Qualifications

1. 5+ years of software development experience with a solid foundation in Java, Spring Boot, and related backend technologies. 2. 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform/CDK. 3. Proven experience in designing and scaling complex enterprise applications. 4. Demonstrable experience with ElasticSearch and PostgreSQL. 5. Tactical thinker boasting both technical prowess and a knack for aligning technology with business goals.
