Capital One is seeking a Senior Distinguished Software Engineer to transform complex challenges into actionable solutions. The ideal candidate will ensure high-quality technical designs, provide expertise on system characteristics like observability and resilience, and continuously enhance their technical knowledge. This role involves managing multiple projects, mentoring the tech community, understanding stakeholder needs, and creating full-stack applications that balance simplicity and flexibility. Leveraging AWS cloud infrastructure and modern engineering operations, the engineer will also work with frameworks such as Spark, Flink, and Kafka for large-scale data processing. A key responsibility is writing high-quality technical documentation to align partner teams and influence stakeholders.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s Degree 2. Minimum of 9 years in Software Engineering and solution architecture 3. Minimum of 9 years in Cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud) 4. Minimum of 9 years in Data architecture
