Senior Director, Higher Education – GTM
Job Description
Drive growth as the Senior Director in the Higher Education sector for a leading fundraising platform. Craft and implement a comprehensive go-to-market strategy tailored to the unique cycles of Higher Education institutions. Identify key market shifts to refine our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP). Act as the executive sponsor for Tier 1 accounts, building strong relationships with key stakeholders. Lead a specialized team, foster operational excellence, and translate regional successes into global playbooks. Partner with Product and Engineering to address specific university needs. Collaborate with Marketing to position our AI capabilities as essential. Synchronize with Customer Success to ensure long-term retention. Define and own pipeline generation and revenue targets.
Qualifications
1. Extensive experience in sales leadership or GTM strategy within SaaS or institutional environments. 2. Proven track record of managing managers and scaling high-performance teams. 3. Mastery of multi-stakeholder sales cycles and navigating "buying by committee" dynamics. 4. Exceptional commercial acumen to link technical product features to financial outcomes. 5. Strong executive presence to serve as a spokesperson at industry conferences. 6. Data-driven mindset with proficiency in RevOps tools and forecasting models. 7. Deep curiosity about the intersection of AI, philanthropy, and institutional advancement. 8. Experience in Higher Education, Nonprofit, or EdTech sectors is preferred. 9. Prior experience in a high-growth, venture-backed environment is a plus.
