Senior DevOps Engineer – Smart City Open Source

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you'll support clients focused on smart cities, tackling data management, mobility, energy, and climate challenges. Collaborate with a strong team to design and implement innovative software architectures using modern technologies. You will be involved in the complete solution lifecycle, from prototype to production deployment.

Qualifications

1. Minimum 3 years of experience in IT, ideally in software development and operations. 2. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent IT vocational training. 3. Career changers with relevant training or experience are welcome. 4. Proficiency in German at a C1 level or higher. 5. Comfortable with customer interaction and leading training sessions/workshops. 6. Experience with DevOps tools and cloud-based microservices. 7. Familiarity with agile development methodologies. 8. Experience with Software as a Service (SaaS), containers, Kubernetes, and automated deployments. 9. Analytical skills for developing customized solutions. 10. Passion for systematic problem-solving of technical issues. 11. Experience with scripting or programming languages like Java, JavaScript, Python, Go, C#, or shell scripts. 12. Familiarity with CI/CD, GitOps, Helm, Ansible, or Terraform. 13. Willingness to participate in compensated weekend on-call duty (daytime only).
