Job Description

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be at the forefront of ensuring Frontify's system infrastructure is well-maintained and consistently improved. This role involves navigating a fast-paced environment with continuous changes. Working collaboratively with the R&D team, you will investigate and pinpoint the root causes of any infrastructure issues, facilitating resolutions and meticulously documenting relevant processes. Beyond the daily management of infrastructure, you'll be the primary contact for our teams in Europe and the US, addressing all technical aspects related to our platform.

Qualifications

1. Possess 5+ years of experience in a DevOps / Platform or Systems Engineer role, preferably within the SaaS industry. 2. Demonstrate proficiency with web servers (Nginx), relational databases (e.g., MySQL, including replication and performance tuning), and Linux (Amazon Linux/CentOS/RedHat). 3. Have practical knowledge of Docker containerization, including container orchestration and management (e.g., Kubernetes or AWS ECS). 4. Have hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Cloudfront or OpenSearch). 5. Have prior experience working with Terraform and creating infrastructure as code for scalable environments. 6. Be well-versed in CI / CD pipelines and have experience implementing automated build and deployment processes. 7. Knowledge of Puppet configuration management is advantageous. 8. Have experience working cross-functionally with Developer Support and Deployment Support roles. 9. Be an IT generalist capable of shaping and defining the role. 10. Possess a solid understanding of monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Datadog or Grafana). 11. Have experience in applying SRE principles like SLOs and error budgets. 12. Have experience with incident management processes, including conducting postmortems and driving improvements. 13. Have a strong understanding of security practices in cloud and DevOps environments, including IAM, data protection, secrets management, and compliance considerations (e.g., ISO, GDPR). 14. Be comfortable working in a fast-paced, distributed team environment. 15. Have fluency in English.
