Senior Designer
Job Description
As a Senior Designer, you'll be an experienced individual contributor, enhancing your leadership through guidance and mentoring. With minimal supervision, you'll support scope, schedule, and delivery goals. You'll impact program objectives and design strategy. Leading stakeholder discussions, you'll improve design processes. Responsibilities include leading cross-functional teams, navigating ambiguous requirements, and delivering design briefs, wireframes, UX flows, prototypes, and design system contributions. Prioritize design activities based on scope, collaborate with users for effective designs, and provide recommendations on typography and hierarchy. You will also coach designers, manage competitive analysis, contribute to design libraries, and facilitate multi-disciplinary discussions. You will be expected to deliver compelling presentations that distill complex issues into understandable solutions, adhering to standards and regulations, and potentially leading accessibility tasks. Finally, you'll identify risks and develop website content following design guidelines, plus participate in candidate evaluations.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience. 2. Analyze user needs to determine functional requirements and define problems and develop plans and requirements in the subject matter area for moderately complex to complex systems related to information systems architecture, networking; telecommunications, automation, communications protocols, risk management/electronic analysis, software, lifecycle management, software development methodologies, and modeling and simulation. 3. Perform functional allocation to identify required tasks and their interrelationships. 4. Identify resources required for each task. 5. Demonstrate exceptional oral and written communication skills. 6. Commensurate experience in IT and in new and related older technology that relates to the required are of expertise. 7. Prior experience serving as a mentor to junior level team members. 8. Experience with design software such as Figma, Miro, Adobe or other designer tools
