Senior Data Scientist – Flex

Job Description

Join Akamai's multidisciplinary research team as a Senior Data Scientist and lead the development of data science aspects for our web security products. You'll be at the forefront of innovation, responsible for developing and maintaining advanced models and agents. Your work will drive insights and analysis of web security attacks, enhancing our detection capabilities. Collaborate on end-to-end projects, from initial concept to final deployment, working closely with engineering and product partners. Develop prototypes of statistical/machine learning-based algorithms, evaluating metrics on real-world data. Contribute to agentic systems, guide engineering implementations of autonomous security agents, and integrate security research learnings into our product. Share your expertise within the Akamai web security research group.

Qualifications

1. BS.C degree and at least 4 years of relevant experience in Data Science 2. Knowledge in data science (pandas, PySpark, etc.), machine learning (sparkML, sklearn, PyTorch, etc) 3. Experience deploying and maintaining machine learning and generative AI systems in production, including agent-based frameworks and monitoring pipelines 4. Experienced in building evaluation pipelines to measure the performances and reliability of production models 5. Experience in working with cloud notebook environments 6. Good communication skills in English.
