Senior Data Engineer – Tech Lead

Job Description

CI&T is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead technical initiatives. This role involves designing and optimizing scalable data pipelines using SQL and Python/PySpark, focusing on building and maintaining analytics-driven data models, ensuring data quality, and translating business needs into efficient data solutions. You'll structure data into Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to maintain the project's technical roadmap.

Qualifications

1. Extensive background in data engineering and constructing data pipelines. 2. Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and manipulation. 3. Hands-on experience with Python and/or PySpark. 4. Understanding of Databricks and the Spark ecosystem. 5. Experience with pipeline orchestration tools like Azure Data Factory (ADF). 6. Knowledge of data modeling approaches such as Star Schema and OBT. 7. Hands-on experience with layered architectures (Bronze, Silver, Gold). 8. Strong understanding of data governance and quality. 9. Experience in operating Data Lakehouse environments, including MERGE.
