Senior Data Engineer, AI Engineer

Job Description

Engage in analyzing and developing specific customer use cases by utilizing data and AI-based IT solutions. Craft practical and executable solution concepts that encompass technical, functional, and architectural aspects. Develop PoC, MVP, and production-ready applications that function on both cloud and on-premise stacks. Implement modern LLM technologies, including embeddings, re-ranking, prompting, fine-tuning, and retrieval concepts, wherever they can enhance customer value. Collaborate closely with our architects, consultants, and clients to ensure seamless integration of solutions into existing system landscapes. Play a role in advancing our product lines (QI-Box, QI-Flow) and refining our standardized implementation process.

Qualifications

1. Possess at least 5 years of professional experience in AI, Data Science, Machine Learning, or Data Engineering. 2. Demonstrate very good knowledge of Python and common ML/DL frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn). 3. Exhibit solid experience with LLMs, RAG systems, embeddings, and evaluation methods. 4. Display confident handling of relational databases, SQL, and vector databases. 5. Have experience building robust data pipelines and basic knowledge of MLOps. 6. Experience working with structured data (e.g., time series) and unstructured data (texts, PDFs, documents). 7. Experience with cloud or on-premise environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). 8. Understanding of containerized deployments, API design, and integrations. 9. Demonstrate a structured and independent working style. 10. Possess precise communication skills, team spirit, and enjoy interdisciplinary collaboration. 11. Have the ability to explain complex technical topics to customers in an understandable manner.
