Senior Cyber Systems Architect, Authentication

Job Description

Join the NBCUniversal Operations and Technology (O&T) team to shape the strategy for our expanding Identity and Access Management (IAM) services. As a key member of the O&T IAM Architecture team, you'll develop strategic solutions and define the identity roadmap for the NBCUniversal enterprise. This role focuses on IAM service support and the development of on-prem and cloud-based IAM services to reduce cyber risk across personas, devices, and applications. You will lead the design and implementation of IAM capabilities such as SSO, directory services, Zero Trust access, MFA, PAM, automation, and behavior-analytics systems. You'll craft resilient and scalable identity strategies aligned with cybersecurity policies, collaborate with stakeholders to define IAM requirements, and provide technical expertise across NBCU's technology and security teams. You'll also lead product evaluations, maintain vendor relationships, create technical documentation, and improve automation efficiency and security practices.

Qualifications

1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in an identity architecture role. 2. 5+ years of experience designing solutions in IAM technical role(s) for large enterprise. 3. Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, information security, or equivalent experience. 4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiation and facilitation. 5. Significant experience in designing infrastructure, administering IAM systems, and managing access controls and security risks. 6. Solid understanding of RBAC, identity lifecycle automation, password policies, user provisioning, and approval workflows. 7. Experience with modern and legacy authentication services (OpenID Connect, OAuth2, SAML, Kerberos) and platforms (Active Directory, Entra ID, AWS). 8. Experience with SSO, MFA, Passwordless Technologies, PAM, and PKI. 9. Familiarity with regulatory requirements like PCI DSS, FFIEC, SOX, HIPAA, GDPR, and GLBA, as well as standards such as ISO 17799, ITIL, and NIST. 10. Understanding of cloud computing architecture and implementations (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS). 11. Ability to balance long-term strategic goals with short-term tactical needs.
