Senior Commercial Counsel

Job Description

We're seeking a Senior Commercial Counsel to bolster our go-to-market strategy by carefully examining and negotiating customer contracts, primarily supporting operations in the Americas and APAC regions. You'll spearhead intricate cross-border transactions with sophisticated entities across diverse legal jurisdictions. Additionally, you will keep a close watch on regulatory shifts, offer advice on compliance matters, and stay abreast of legal developments. Crucially, you will provide training, regularly update company policies and templates, and refine scalable workflows to foster the company's continued expansion and success.

Qualifications

1. Must possess strong academic credentials and be a member in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar. 2. Must have 7+ years of relevant experience, ideally with training at a top-rated national or international law firm. Prior experience at a high-growth technology company is highly desirable. 3. Must demonstrate proven experience in drafting, negotiating, and finalizing complex commercial software and SaaS agreements with enterprise clients, partners, and resellers across various jurisdictions. 4. Must exhibit a strong understanding of commercial legal issues pertaining to SaaS and software licensing, professional services, and other go-to-market programs. 5. Must possess excellent judgment, a strong business acumen, and the capability to translate legal risks into practical commercial guidance. 6. Must have strong interpersonal, communication, and management abilities, with the capacity to build trust with sales teams, cross-functional stakeholders, and clients. 7. Must demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the capability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. 8. Experience supporting a high-growth infrastructure SaaS company is considered a plus. 9. Experience supporting APAC regions is considered a plus.
