Senior Cloud Platform Engineer

Job Description

Centene Corporation is seeking a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to manage and enhance our cloud infrastructure. In this role, you will: - Contribute to the technical direction and decisions regarding the configuration, automation, and operation of software and infrastructure services on our cloud platform. - Design, develop, and maintain cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code and automation methodologies. - Collaborate closely with DevOps, Development, Network, and Security teams to ensure secure, scalable, and reliable cloud environments. - Automate the deployment, provisioning, and administration of cloud infrastructure and environments. - Develop and implement monitoring solutions for enhanced visibility into the performance and reliability of cloud environments. - Contribute to the design, development, and deployment of cloud applications for infrastructure automation. - Deliver and support continuous integration and delivery pipelines by enabling common DevSecOps tooling and automation in cloud environments. - Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to your peers.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have: 1. A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science). 2. 4-6 years of related experience. 3. Experience with Cloud Formation or Terraform. 4. Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS). 5. Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Go, and platform technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. 6. Knowledge of networking concepts, firewall rules, and infrastructure troubleshooting. 7. Familiarity with automation and scripting languages such as Shell and Python.
