Senior Business Development Director – Regulatory, Medical Writing
Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Business Development Director to spearhead the expansion of Veristat's Regulatory Science and Medical Writing services, targeting pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and life sciences sectors. This role involves identifying and cultivating new business opportunities while nurturing existing client relationships. The focus is on delivering high-value, consultative solutions encompassing regulatory strategy, submission support, regulatory operations, and scientific/medical writing. You will lead strategic sales initiatives, pinpoint client needs throughout the product development lifecycle, and collaborate cross-functionally to create customized solutions that facilitate regulatory approvals and clinical development success. Serving as the main point of contact between clients and Veristat for all sales-related matters.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s Degree in a business, science, or related field is essential. 2. A minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in selling services within the CRO / pharmaceutical / biotechnology / life sciences industries. 3. Prior experience in selling regulatory affairs, regulatory consulting, or medical writing services is highly advantageous. 4. Comprehensive understanding of the drug development lifecycle and global regulatory pathways. 5. Track record of success in selling complex, consultative service offerings to pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients. 6. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation capabilities. 7. Experience in proposal development, contract negotiation, and securing contracts. 8. Ability to quickly grasp and assimilate project requirements. 9. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite. 10. Previous experience with Salesforce is strongly desirable.
