Senior Big Data Engineer

Job Description

Join our team as a Senior Big Data Engineer and work on impactful customer technical projects involving Big Data. This includes creating reference architectures, how-to guides, and production-grade MVPs. Provide guidance to strategic customers implementing transformational big data projects and third-party migrations. You will be responsible for end-to-end design, construction, and deployment of cutting-edge big data and AI applications. Consult on architecture and design, and initiate strategic customer projects to ensure their understanding, evaluation, and adoption of Databricks. Collaborate with Engineering and Databricks Customer Support to offer product and implementation feedback and drive quick resolutions for project-specific issues.

Qualifications

1. 8+ years of experience with Big Data Technologies such as Apache Spark™, Kafka, Cloud Native, and Data Lakes in a customer-facing post-sales, technical architecture, or consulting role. 2. 6+ years of independent experience working on Big Data Architectures. 3. Strong experience within the Databricks ecosystem. 4. Proficiency in coding with either Python or Scala. 5. Experience across Cloud Platforms (GCP / AWS / Azure). 6. Excellent documentation and white-boarding skills. 7. Competence in technical areas supporting the deployment and integration of Databricks-based solutions for customer projects. 8. Willing to travel for onsite customer engagements within India.
