Job Description

Lead major incident (MI) bridges and restore service with minimal business impact. Manage all L3 escalations, conducting thorough diagnostics across Java, JVM, middleware, OS, and infrastructure. Take ownership of technical RCAs, driving long-term and systemic remediation efforts. Identify recurring failure patterns and potential risks to the system. Apply SRE principles, including SLIs/SLOs and error budgets, to improve system reliability. Optimize JVM parameters, analyze thread/heap dumps, and enhance overall performance. Influence application architecture to ensure fault tolerance, scalability, and recoverability. Validate DR readiness, failover behavior, and resilience testing results. Provide technical approval and assess risks for high-risk changes. Enforce operational readiness standards for new applications and major releases. Ensure that changes meet audit, compliance, and regulatory requirements. Develop advanced automation using Shell, Python, or PowerShell scripting languages. Create frameworks for health validation, automated recovery processes, and compliance checks. Define observability standards, optimize alerts, and improve MTTR. Mentor L1/L2 teams; review and approve runbooks, SOPs, and KB articles. Act as a trusted technical advisor to stakeholders and leadership, offering expert guidance and support.

Qualifications

1. 7-12+ years of experience in Application Reliability, Production Support, SRE, or platform operations. 2. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or a related field. 3. ITIL, cloud, or relevant industry certifications (preferred). 4. Banking/financial domain experience (preferred).
