Senior Accounting Specialist

Job Description

Seeking a Senior Accounting Specialist to coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing journal entries, provisions, accruals, and account reconciliations. Ensure compliance with US GAAP and support statutory financial statement preparation under HGB (or other European accounting standards). Collaborate with internal and external auditors and drive process improvements. Engage in finance projects and enhance existing systems.

Qualifications

1. Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2. Extensive experience in financial accounting (7+ years). 3. Strong understanding of US GAAP; knowledge of German Commercial Code (HGB) or other European standards. 4. Experience in an international accounting environment. 5. Excellent German and English communication skills (written and verbal). 6. Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle). 7. Preferred: additional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA).
