Senior Accountant

Job Description

Seeking a Senior Accountant to expertly manage financial processes for high-growth businesses. This role involves: * Managing month-end close, including bank reconciliations and financial statement preparation. * Analyzing P&L trends and providing strategic commentary to leadership. * Auditing financial workflows and tech stack to improve data integrity and eliminate manual entry. * Collaborating with the Fractional CFO to maintain cash flow models for project planning and investment timing. * Reviewing project-based margins to ensure cost alignment. * Developing and documenting internal financial controls for scalability.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have: 1. Significant experience with accrual-based home improvement companies (Interior Designers, General Contractors, etc.). 2. A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, specifically for US-based companies. 3. Intimate familiarity with US business structures and protocols. 4. Strategic thinking with a focus on systems. 5. Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and AP automation tools. 6. A proven track record of identifying budget inefficiencies and proposing solutions. 7. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred).
