Senior Account Manager – Energy Efficiency

Canada – Remote Full-Time$50 - $55 /hour

Job Description

Drive new participation in the Save On Energy Business Retrofit Program by cultivating relationships with large, energy-intensive industrial clients across Southwestern Ontario. Proactively identify and foster new customer connections within energy-intensive industrial and commercial sectors. Serve as a proactive initiator, securing meetings and engaging senior stakeholders across operations, engineering, finance, and leadership. Manage a portfolio of 30–40 key accounts, balancing the creation of new opportunities with the management of transitioned active accounts. Spearhead early-stage technical sales discussions and pinpoint high-impact energy efficiency opportunities. Support Save On Energy Retrofit applications by coordinating documentation and collaborating with internal technical teams. Strengthen and utilize relationships with trade allies, contractors, distributors, and OEMs. Concentrate on key industrial sectors such as pulp and paper, petroleum and coal, chemical manufacturing, non-metallic minerals, primary metals, and transportation equipment manufacturing. Monitor activities, pipeline, and performance using CRM tools.

Qualifications

1. Extensive experience in industrial or technical sales, key account management, or significant capital project settings. 2. Demonstrated ability to generate leads, influence decision-makers, and advance complex sales processes. 3. Proven experience working within or selling to energy-intensive industrial sectors. 4. Comfortable initiating discussions on energy efficiency and assessing opportunities, while collaborating with internal experts for detailed analysis. 5. Excellent skills in relationship-building, communication, and negotiation. 6. Self-motivated, resilient, and results-oriented mindset. 7. Knowledge of energy efficiency, utility, or incentive programs would be advantageous. 8. Energy or engineering certifications are beneficial. 9. Familiarity with CRM or structured sales methodologies is desirable.
