Job Description

Join our team as a Sales Manager and drive growth in the U.S. grocery channel for an established Asian food manufacturer. You'll be instrumental in developing and executing sales strategies, managing broker networks, and achieving revenue targets. Key responsibilities include: • Partnering with the VP, peers, brokers, and distributor network to develop, execute, and drive our sales strategy targeting the U.S. grocery store channel - National and Regional Retail Accounts. • Managing and motivating the broker network by working with all levels of the broker personnel. • Achieving budgeted revenues and team sales goals, maximizing profitability. • Participating in the preparation of the annual departmental operating budget, marketing plan, business plan. • Managing day-to-day sales activities, developing new accounts, maintaining existing accounts, and implementing sales strategies outlined by the VP of Sales and Marketing. • Developing and execute distribution targets and promotion plans that follow company guidelines, managing customer sales forecasts, distribution targets, profitability, and trade spend targets. • Building strong and credible relationships with existing customers and channels through customer meetings, site visits, etc., to meet sales projections set by the Company. • Assisting the VP of Sales and Marketing in producing monthly reports and sales forecasts to analyze current/potential market and sales trends. • Coordinating activities to increase revenue and market share, monitoring performance to ensure actual sales meet or exceed established revenue plans. • Facilitating cross-department collaborations with R&D, Production, Quality, and other relevant departments to drive product development and enhance product quality based on customer and consumer feedback. • Updating R&D team on a variety of food trends to create new SKUs and improve existing recipes. • Being a key member of weekly/monthly sensory tasting to provide instant feedback on product quality. • Participating in nation-wide food shows to approach business opportunities with prospects. • Working alongside the CEO to implement new sales initiatives. • Performing other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree required 2. Minimum 3-5 years’ experience with proven track record of leadership in a sales organization/business unit in the food industry 3. Experience managing food brokers 4. Working knowledge of sales cycles according to customer types, i.e., retailers, wholesalers, food services, etc. 5. Prior experience with mainstream market preferred 6. Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills 7. Ability to organize and prioritize in a fast paced environment 8. Ability and willingness to travel throughout assigned sales territory domestically and/or internationally as needed 9. Valid driver's license and clean driving record 10. Proficient in Google Apps, MS Office Suite, etc.
