Safety Manager – SPD-A

Job Description

The Safety Manager is responsible for proactively developing and directing company-wide safety compliance programs. Manages the Safety Management System (SMS) for RMMR. Implements comprehensive safety programs and policies in accordance with safety regulations and industry best practices. Ensures that the SMS integrates with other corporate functions. Monitors compliance with safety regulations and standards. Conducts regular inspections and audits. Works with project teams to implement corrective actions. Develops and delivers safety training programs. Leads investigations of safety incidents, accidents, and near-miss events.

Qualifications

1. Must have a bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, engineering, or a related field. 2. Relevant work experience in safety management, preferably in the construction, repair, or maintenance industry, is preferred with a minimum of 5years safety experience. 3. Experience and familiarity with Safety Management Systems. 4. Documented proficiency in developing and implementing safety programs, policies, and procedures. 5. Experience in hazard identification, risk mitigation practices, and incident investigations. 6. Knowledge of safety training techniques and the ability to develop and deliver effective safety training programs. 7. Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently. 8. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, contracts, and legal documents. 9. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. 10. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. 11. Successful results of preemployment screenings, including federal background check, MVR, and drug screen. 12. Comply with company drug and alcohol policy. 13. Be authorized to work in the US or will be authorized by the successful candidate's start date.
