Revenue Specialist I

Job Description

Perform duties for the revenue operations department, focusing on medical insurance billing, collections, and patient access. Communicate with patients and insurance payers to ensure proper coverage and timely reimbursement for dialysis services at our clinics. Review and submit system setup requests to ensure accurate billing information. Respond promptly and accurately to payer communications and collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless processes. Partner with clinic teammates to ensure timely and accurate insurance information, identify process changes for continuous improvements, and maintain current patient account information, while maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and DaVita policies.

Qualifications

1. High school diploma or equivalent. 2. Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. 3. Must have ROPS revenue cycle management experience. 4. Knowledge of revenue cycle, insurance rules, and regulations for federal, state, and/or managed care payers in multiple states. 5. Knowledge of medical billing and reimbursement practices. 6. Basic medical reimbursement terminology. 7. Basic knowledge of healthcare reimbursement accounting principles.
