Collaborate with the Flatiron Store Manager to mold the U.S. store experience, from operational norms to launch readiness. Connect with the Australian Retail Operations Manager to harmonize approaches. Take charge of the U.S. site pipeline, scout opportunities, cultivate relationships with brokers, and refine site selection. Manage fit-out timelines, liaise with contractors, and ensure adherence to budget and schedule. Understand the retail technology landscape and team up with our tech team on the implementation roadmap. Give weekly updates to retail leadership. Assess the commercial viability of new locations with the CFO and CCO. Examine the U.S. retail landscape to identify emerging opportunities and competitive dynamics.

Qualifications

1. 5-7 years in retail operations, multi-site management, or similar environments with a history of opening new sites and building a retail presence from early stages. 2. Experience in commercial real estate: site selection, lease negotiation, landlord relationships, and deal management. 3. Project management skills for fit-out projects, coordinating internal teams and external contractors on time and within budget. 4. Experience leading and developing store managers, setting clear expectations, giving direct feedback, and ensuring accountability. 5. Confidence in shaping retail technology decisions and advocating for the right tools. 6. Strong commercial acumen to interrogate assumptions and make clear recommendations to senior leadership. 7. Ability to build and document repeatable processes. 8. Staying informed on retail trends, competitors, and emerging markets. 9. Energized by ambiguity and firsts.
