Job Description

We are seeking a Retail Engagement Manager to develop and execute retail strategies that align with global marketing objectives and European market priorities. This role involves building strong relationships with key retail partners, buyers, and category managers across multiple European markets. Responsibilities include supporting and expanding branded programs through in-store marketing, sampling, promotions, and merchandising. Collaboration with licensees and importers is essential to drive brand visibility and product differentiation. The Retail Engagement Manager will coordinate retail visits, in-store activations, and sampling programs to strengthen brand recognition. They will also track retailer performance metrics, adapt global campaigns to regional needs, and manage retailer-specific marketing programs. Additional duties include developing retailer communication materials, gathering market intelligence, and collaborating with agencies to deliver localized marketing assets. Maintaining a retail engagement database and conducting store audits are also key aspects of this role. The manager will prepare reports on European retail performance to support global planning and identify new market expansion opportunities. They will work closely with internal teams to ensure accurate information flow to retail and importer partners and support participation in trade shows and industry events.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Agriculture, or related field. 2. Minimum 5+ years of experience in retail marketing, brand management, or customer engagement within the fresh produce or agri-food industry. 3. Strong understanding of European retail systems, including major supermarket chains, importers, and distribution networks. 4. Proven ability to manage cross-border projects and relationships across diverse cultural and regulatory environments. 5. Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; proficiency in Spanish, Italian, French or German is valued. 6. Ability to travel frequently (approximately 30% of the time) across Europe (Italy, Spain, UK, Germany & France) for retailer visits, licensee meetings, and trade events. 7. Ability to travel to the US once per year.
