Regional Director – Clinical Services

Job Description

The Regional Director of Clinical Services will: 1. Develop, implement, educate, and monitor clinical programs to meet professional nursing standards of care and practice. 2. Advise and support facilities in complying with state and federal survey regulations for Medicare and Medicaid licensure and certification. 3. Assist facilities in responding to endemic, epidemic, and pandemic disease outbreaks. 4. Support the Administrator and/or DON in writing plans of correction (POC) and Allegations of Compliance (AOC) for state and federal survey deficiencies. 5. Monitor facility compliance with POCs submitted to the State Health Department (HD) for Medicare and Medicaid license recertification. 6. Provide oversight for reportable events submitted to HD. 7. Train facility Administration and/or staff as needed. 8. Conduct monthly Regional DON meetings for clinical program training and DON development. 9. Conduct facility visits to assess and train clinical staff. 10. Attend regional meetings and provide clinical insight as requested by the RDO. 11. Develop regional tracking and trending reports for clinical metrics regarding CMS 5-star rating. 12. Assist facilities in clinical risk management efforts.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent accredited nursing program degree. 2. Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred. 3. 20+ years of clinical and management experience preferred. 4. Preferred experience: MDS certified, Legal Nurse Consultant or Risk Management experience; previous Regional or Corporate Nurse experience; experience with CMS/OIG surveys including Jeopardy citations. 5. Must remain active and in good standing with the State Board of Nursing. 6. Proficient in the Microsoft Suite products.
