QA Automation Lead

Job Description

As a QA Automation Lead, you'll review technical design documents and API specifications, offering AI-assisted feedback on system testability and potential integration challenges. You will partner with Product and Engineering leadership to define automation strategies for new feature releases. You'll also design and execute complex test cases for backend systems, focusing on data integrity and distributed systems logic, using AI tools to prototype test suites. Furthermore, you'll develop comprehensive test suites for RESTful APIs, validating schema compliance and authentication protocols. You will maintain and extend backend automation frameworks, establish QA best practices, and develop automated test result reports, highlighting potential quality risks. The job also entails identifying, troubleshooting, and tracking bugs to resolution using AI tools for root cause analysis, and advocating for automation to decrease manual testing efforts.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. 2. 7-10 years in Software Quality Assurance, leading quality initiatives for distributed systems and backend APIs. 3. Proactive use of AI tools to accelerate test authoring and optimize documentation. 4. Skilled in designing and maintaining scalable automation frameworks for backend services. 5. Proficiency in Python. 6. Expertise in manual and automated testing of REST and GraphQL APIs. 7. Ownership of continuous testing in the CI/CD pipeline. 8. Experience managing the full release cycle. 9. Experience creating comprehensive test plans and adhering to QA best practices. 10. Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL. 11. Strong experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes. 12. Familiarity with version control systems, test management tools, and issue-tracking platforms. 13. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. 14. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. 15. Performance and Load testing experience is a plus.
