QA Automation Engineer – Mobile/Android

Job Description

Contribute to the security of millions by joining our team as a QA Automation Engineer. You'll be instrumental in architecting and evolving our Android automation framework, utilizing Espresso/Kakao-Cup to its fullest potential. You will also be responsible for VPN-specific challenges, including network-dependent flows and testing under unstable or switching connection states. Work collaboratively with developers and QAs to troubleshoot issues, provide detailed bug reports, and champion QA best practices. Explore and implement new testing tools and methodologies to enhance the overall QA process.

Qualifications

1. Minimum of 3 years' experience automating UI tests for Android apps in Kotlin. 2. Hands-on expertise with Espresso and Kakao-Cup, skilled in testing screens built in Jetpack Compose and classic XML. 3. Experience with Robolectric and Mockito for test infrastructure and mocking dependencies. 4. Proficiency in building and maintaining pipelines in CircleCI, using Bash/sh scripting for automation. 5. Experience with Flank for sharding and parallelizing tests, configuring device matrices in Firebase Test Lab or similar emulators. 6. Understanding of testing VPN apps, including network-dependent flows and handling connection-state flakiness. 7. Upper-intermediate level of spoken and written English.
