Job Description

Drive and expertly handle the procurement process, ensuring collaboration among multidisciplinary teams to meet crucial deadlines, stay within budget, and guarantee on-time delivery. Skillfully prepare purchase orders and diligently maintain purchasing records for accurate tracking. Proactively research and thoroughly evaluate potential suppliers, assessing their pricing, quality, and delivery speed to make informed decisions. Provide comprehensive support for inter-departmental and executive data requests, ensuring efficient information flow. Establish reliable backup supply sources to mitigate risks and ensure supply chain continuity. Expertly negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors, securing favorable terms and conditions. Ensure vendors consistently meet their contractual obligations. Skillfully create RFQ’s, supplier agreements, shopping carts, purchase requests, and POs as needed to streamline the procurement process. Proactively work to establish vendor accounts/credit and negotiate extended payment terms for improved financial flexibility. Strictly comply with corporate safety guidelines and uphold the highest standards of business ethics. Effectively manage material forecasting and budgeting processes to optimize resource allocation. Continuously identify and capitalize on cost-saving opportunities through strategic sourcing and negotiation. Conduct thorough market research to identify potential suppliers, staying well-informed about market conditions, pricing trends, and innovative products. Build and nurture positive, long-term supplier relations for mutually beneficial partnerships. Provide strong leadership, mentorship, and development opportunities for team members. Oversee the daily workflow and schedules of the department, ensuring smooth operations and efficient resource utilization. Draft, clearly explain, and consistently implement instructions, policies, and procedures for purchasing activities. Perform other duties as determined and assigned, contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, or equivalent experience. 2. 15+ years of experience in materials management, purchasing, and planning. 3. Experienced supervisory and leadership skills; ability to train others effectively. 4. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Smartsheet, and ERP Systems. 5. Strong technical understanding of supply chain, manufacturing processes, and DFx (design for manufacturability, assembly, and cost). 6. Proven negotiation skills. 7. Ability to interact professionally with corporate personnel and external suppliers. 8. Proficient in project planning for procurement process management. 9. Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills; high attention to detail. 10. Excellent communication and presentation skills. 11. Strong work ethic and customer service focus. 12. Ability to work independently under general supervision. 13. Ability to travel domestically and internationally. 14. Ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders.
