Program Manager
Job Description
Manage programs according to the scope of work, program, and standard operating procedures within the contracted budget. Oversee the daily activities of program operation, ensuring proper workflow throughout the program's life, including staff supervision. Maintain a working knowledge of protocols, contract requirements, program workflow, and scope of work. Monitor program metrics to ensure adherence to SLAs. Aid management in program development, design, and restructuring of program requirements. Travel to and attend related meetings/conferences as required. Present program information to internal and external customers. Participate in interviewing, evaluating, and training employees as needed. Engage in team communication and collaboration during development, start-up, management, and close-out of assigned programs. Participate in client kick-off and planning meetings, internal and external team meetings. Translate decisions and discussions into documented workflow processes. Facilitate team coordination to achieve successful program start-up. Assist in developing program metrics. Participate in client and/or FDA audits. Identify and implement improvements to program processes. Gather and interpret program metrics. Report and analyze process efficiencies. Ensure training materials are accurate and continually evaluate the need for group training sessions or additional training materials. Maintain program team performance by ensuring compliance with company and project goals. Manage the dual role of supervising staff and supporting the maintenance of respective program applications. Assist with the analysis and writing of client reports and other deliverables. Handle escalated and unresolved issues. Other duties as assigned. Ability to travel as needed. Actively participates in in-person and virtual meetings/events.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or Associate Degree and equivalent work experience 2. 5 – 8 years of relevant experience, or 3 – 5 years of experience with Master’s degree 3. 2 years of related healthcare or pharmaceutical experience 4. 1-year previous managerial experience 5. Strong computer skills with specific aptitude in Microsoft Office 6. Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills 7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 8. Ability to work cross-functionally to proactively communicate and to resolve issues with the highest sense of urgency 9. Highly developed written communication and documentation skills to develop program materials, program specific procedures, and application requirements 10. Client interfacing skills to cultivate and manage relationships 11. Strong analytical skills 12. Ability to analyze information and target trends 13. Organize people and systems to achieve goals 14. Working knowledge of customer service processes preferred
