Program Analyst
Job Description
Seeking a detail-oriented Program Analyst to support the Department of Veterans Affairs. Responsibilities include: 1. Conducting research to gather relevant information. 2. Analyzing data to identify key insights and trends. 3. Preparing comprehensive reports to communicate findings. 4. Determining program requirements and providing recommendations for improvement. 5. Evaluating existing programs, policies, and procedures, suggesting optimizations. 6. Drafting new and revised policies and procedures. 7. Assisting program managers with budget development, scheduling, and tracking metrics. 8. Identifying and resolving operational issues and problems. 9. Planning and evaluating the effectiveness of programs and operations. 10. Presenting reports and recommendations to stakeholders.
Qualifications
To be considered for this Program Analyst role, candidates should meet the following criteria: 1. Bachelor's Degree required (or 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of education). 2. Minimum of 5 years of related professional experience. 3. Proficiency in planning, analyzing, and evaluating operating program effectiveness. 4. Ability to use source data to assess program and business process effectiveness. 5. Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills. 6. Expertise in data manipulation for presenting program status and recommending process improvements. 7. Experience creating data gathering and analysis methods to evaluate program effectiveness. 8. Must have Ability to obtain and maintain a Tier II Moderate Risk Background Investigation 9. Must have Legal authorization to work in the U.S. 10. Associate Degree (AA/AS), or 2 years of school in a business discipline is required (4 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education)
