Product Owner

Job Description

Manage and prioritize a product backlog that defines the strategic work to be completed, sharing it internally and driving product development. Gather, define, and document product and service requirements, incorporating input from customers, prospects, partners, sales, market trends, and competitors to create a cohesive set of market-driven and feasible features. Produce Business Requirements Documents, Business Cases, Product Release Plans, and other necessary documentation. Promote high standards and innovation in product changes and new features. Define the product release cadence with the Product Manager, ensuring timely and budget-conscious releases. Take a hands-on approach and fill gaps as required for product success. Provide input on resource allocation across product initiatives. Proactively identify and mitigate risks, concerns, and issues to keep product releases on track. Provide release progress updates to the Product Manager and stakeholders. Onboard new staff, providing initial product knowledge. Ensure teams follow VitalHub's standards, best practices, and processes. Answer product-related questions from Sales, Business Development, Marketing, and external Business Partners. Ensure professional services, sales, development, and customer support have product information and understand releases for product success. Communicate product requirements effectively. Build solid client relationships, prioritizing satisfaction. Serve as a client advocate. Assist with technical presentations and product demonstrations at customer briefings, conferences, and public forums. Ensure all product team members are happy, productive, and valued.

Qualifications

1. Demonstrable experience as a Product Owner, Scrum Master, or Business Analyst 2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 3. Experience working across the full product development lifecycle and coordinating UAT phases with business users. 4. Experience writing requirements documentation/stories 5. Experience working closely with developers and business users in a highly collaborative environment 6. Experience working in agile development teams 7. Experience using defect tracking and test management tools such as JIRA, Zephyr, confluence. 8. Experience in requirements management 9. Ability to learn product configurations and train internal stakeholders or customers
