Product Manager – Platform Tooling
Job Description
Join Spotify as a Product Manager and contribute to the product vision and roadmap for shared web tooling and operator-facing products utilized by finance teams. Support and evolve a portfolio of internal platforms and workflow systems, from established tools to new capabilities. Collaborate closely with R&D and end users to understand needs, validate problems, and deliver meaningful solutions. Lead product discovery for new features and improvements, focusing on usability, clarity, and operator efficiency. Help shape AI-assisted capabilities within workflows, ensuring they are useful, transparent, and trustworthy. Partner with engineers to define shared web frameworks and components that enable other teams to build efficiently while maintaining UX consistency. Balance short-term delivery with long-term platform thinking, including scalability, reliability, and maintainability. Communicate clearly with stakeholders to align on priorities, trade-offs, and outcomes. Collaborate closely with engineering and design to support a healthy, high-performing team environment.
Qualifications
1. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners to achieve strong results. 2. Possess experience or interest in building operator-facing or workflow-driven products, simplifying intricate systems. 3. Engage comfortably with engineers in technical discussions on system design and architecture. 4. Demonstrate a solid understanding of modern AI/ML concepts, including large language models, prompt design, evaluation, and trade-offs. 5. Understand how AI can support human decision-making while maintaining transparency and trust. 6. Quickly learn and synthesize user inputs, data, and technical contexts to inform decisions. 7. Communicate clearly and adapt storytelling to diverse audiences. 8. Show a deep commitment to user-centered, data-informed product development. 9. Express interest in platforms and shared tooling, understanding how they enable teams while maintaining a strong user experience. 10. Have experience with internal tools, financial systems, or workflow-based products, or a strong desire to learn in this area. 11. Comfortably navigate ambiguity and influence decisions with insight.
