Product Manager – Material Science Microscopy

Job Description

Assume strategic management and development of the product portfolio throughout its entire lifecycle. Craft and execute product strategies in collaboration with global and cross-functional teams. Offer timely feedback and maintain close communication with R&D on a daily basis to implement the product development plan. Oversee SW P&L, including monitoring sales outcomes and activities, along with pricing strategy, cost assessment, and analysis. Design engaging product and marketing materials and lead internal product training sessions as part of product launch efforts. Identify and assess third-party products or components to enhance the product portfolio. Use in-depth product and application expertise to address intricate customer inquiries as needed. Stay current with product-related technology, market trends, and customer requirements. Willingness to travel internationally up to 30%.

Qualifications

1. Hold a minimum Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a science-related field, or possess equivalent work experience in a technical domain. 2. Have at least 5 years of professional experience in product development, marketing, or sales, ideally within microscopic imaging systems or cameras. 3. Demonstrate solid technical expertise in Material Science, Imaging, and/or Industrial Microscopy techniques (although subject matter expertise is not essential). 4. Exhibit proven experience in software product management (preferred). 5. Possess familiarity with Agile software development methodologies (preferred). 6. Display a strong customer focus with the ability to translate user needs into actionable product requirements. 7. Showcase demonstrated business insight with an emphasis on boosting revenue and profitability. 8. Demonstrate robust analytical and conceptual skills with a market-driven, results-oriented approach. 9. Be capable of simplifying and presenting complex subjects in a clear and compelling manner. 10. Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills; fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in French and/or German is an advantage. 11. Capable of working independently while traveling across different time zones. 12. Proven history of successful international and multicultural teamwork (US, Europe, Japan).
