Job Description

Take the helm in shaping the architecture and future technical path for the Phone Numbers Platform. Emulate the best practices by utilizing AI coding assistants like GitHub Copilot, Anthropic Claude, or internal LLMs. Champion technical excellence across teams, making pivotal architectural decisions. Collaborate closely with Product Managers to understand and implement global telecommunications regulations and customer needs. Mentor senior and staff engineers to foster their growth. Proactively identify and address technical risks. Clearly communicate intricate technical strategies to both executive leaders and engineering teams.

Qualifications

1. Possess 12+ years of experience in designing and developing highly available, large-scale, secure, mission-critical cloud-native enterprise distributed systems. 2. Demonstrate expert proficiency in Java or Go, with in-depth knowledge of AWS ecosystems (Lambda, EKS, DynamoDB, Kafka). 3. Exhibit architectural mastery with deep experience in cloud-native infrastructure (AWS preferred), microservices patterns, and designing 'five-nines' (99.999%) resilient systems. 4. Have proven experience using AI tools to significantly accelerate software delivery. 5. Have a track record of building and maintaining high-volume public-facing APIs that focus on exceptional developer experience. 6. Demonstrate experience with high-throughput data processing and storage solutions (SQL/NoSQL, Redis, Kafka, or Spark). 7. Demonstrate proficiency with Kubernetes, Terraform, and modern CI/CD paradigms. 8. Have the proven ability to influence technical strategy across multiple teams and organizational boundaries without direct authority.
