Principal DevOps Engineer

Job Description

Take the lead in designing, implementing, and refining customer infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. Work closely with various teams to ensure strong system performance, scalability, and security. Act as a mentor to junior team members, promoting automation efforts. Play a key role in making strategic decisions about infrastructure and deployment methods. Create and implement customer infrastructure on different cloud platforms and bare metal setups. Design and oversee Kubernetes clusters for applications using microservices architecture. Build and improve CI/CD pipelines for smooth software delivery. Set up, monitor, and run development, staging, and production environments. Help customers understand the process during deployment projects. Collaborate with international teams in different locations to tackle technical challenges and improve processes. Add to the Mirantis deployment knowledge base. Always look for ways to make tools and technologies better.

Qualifications

1. Extensive background in DevOps engineering. 2. Strong experience in IT automation. 3. Good understanding of Linux OS, storage, and networking. 4. Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems. 5. Solid knowledge of Kubernetes and related tools. 6. Hands-on experience in application containerization using Docker and Helm. 7. Solid practical skills in Bash, Groovy, Python, or Go programming (proficiency in at least one). 8. Excellent English skills, both written and spoken. 9. Great communication skills when dealing with customers. 10. Strong abilities in analysis and problem-solving. 11. Willingness and ability to travel for business needs and on-site project work. 12. Experience in AI/ML models lifecycle including development, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance (Will be a plus). 13. Strong skills in Openstack and related software.
