Principal AI & Data Engineer

Job Description

Join US Signal as a Principal AI & Data Engineer, shaping the future of our enterprise data architecture. You'll be instrumental in assessing and refining our data warehouse using dbt, and pioneering the deployment of Large Language Model (LLM) applications. Create natural language interfaces for operational data using conversational AI and lead the design of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, selecting embedding models, and ensuring seamless internal and customer-facing deployments. Engineer advanced multi-agent systems to automate enterprise workflows through innovative framework selection and API integration.

Qualifications

1. Requires 8+ years of experience applying machine learning and AI in production environments, demonstrating a history of shipping scalable systems. 2. Must be proficient with LLM frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex), agentic architectures, and RAG pipeline design, including expertise in vector databases. 3. Strong Python skills are necessary, along with experience in modern data stack components, orchestration tooling, and semantic layer frameworks like dbt. 4. Ability to independently deliver end-to-end production systems is essential, with accountability for architecture decisions.
