Presales Solutions Engineer – Network
Job Description
SHI is seeking a Presales Solutions Engineer to collaborate with account teams in evaluating customer data center environments and infrastructure technologies. This role involves designing tailored infrastructure solutions aligned with customer business objectives and maintaining technical relationships with OEMs and strategic partners. Responsibilities include providing product training to sales teams and customers, acting as a trusted IT advisor, and managing the solution practice pipeline to uncover technology opportunities within Data Center, Cloud, Network, Security, Collaboration, and Services. The ideal candidate will develop solutions that fit customer needs and budgets through strategic planning and engage with various client contacts, including CIOs and IT Directors, to educate them on technical selling, product training, and technology trends.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience required. 2. Minimum 2 years of experience with Cisco networking products (switches, routers, wireless, Nexus, Meraki) and familiarity with Cisco Commerce Workspace (CCW). 3. Strong knowledge of technical network solutions, including route/switch, LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, cloud edge, virtual networking, secure access, and network visibility. 4. Expertise with similar products and solutions from vendors like Aruba, Juniper, HPE, Arista, etc. 5. Experience with software-defined networking technologies (SDDC, SD-WAN, SASE, SSE, etc.). 6. Advanced Certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, JNCIE, JNCIP, CASX, ACSP. 7. Ability to travel to SHI, Partner, and Customer Events.
