Job Description

Join the Dremio Sales Team as a Presales Solutions Architect and play a pivotal role in showcasing our product and technology to prospective clients. You'll address their technical questions and concerns throughout the sales cycle, ensuring they fully understand the value Dremio brings. Your responsibilities include supporting customers' technical needs, troubleshooting issues, and proactively identifying opportunities for product enhancement. By gaining a deep understanding of Dremio's capabilities, you'll collaborate with Engineering and Sales to resolve critical technical challenges. As a key technical interface, you'll travel to client sites, grasp their business drivers and objectives, and design comprehensive data solutions that leverage Dremio's data virtualization, cataloging, and query optimization features. You will be configuring and optimizing Dremio POCs to meet performance benchmarks, and you will act as a trusted advisor, building lasting client relationships, driving product adoption, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

1. Requires 10+ years of experience in a Sales Engineer/Presales Solutions Architect role, preferably within a large enterprise. 2. Must have a strong knowledge of databases, particularly MPP analytic databases and data warehousing concepts. 3. Need a comprehensive understanding of data architecture concepts, including data lakes, data virtualization, and data mesh principles. 4. Proficiency in Linux is essential, with comfort in installing, debugging, and integrating applications on the Linux platform. 5. Expertise in SQL queries, syntax, data modeling, and optimization is necessary. 6. Familiarity with various data storage technologies, such as HDFS, Amazon S3, Azure Data Lake Storage, and relational databases is a must. 7. Experience with data integration techniques, including ETL/ELT processes, data ingestion, and data transformation. 8. Familiarity with big data processing frameworks like Kubernetes, Apache Spark, Hadoop MapReduce, and Hive. 9. Possess the ability to perform performance tuning and optimization of Dremio queries and workflows. 10. Should have experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) and a strong grasp of data visualization best practices. 11. Knowledge of data security and privacy best practices, including authentication, authorization, and data encryption. 12. Excellent presentation skills and the ability to speak confidently in front of audiences. 13. Willingness to travel at least 30% of the time. 14. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to design and implement solutions to complex data challenges. 15. Ability to design and lead the implementation of large-scale, enterprise-level data architectures. 16. Ability to articulate technical concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences. 17. Effective at building strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
