Job Description

Join Tieto Tech Consulting as a Power BI Engineer and play a key role in developing and maintaining our Business Intelligence (BI) solutions. You'll collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver insightful reporting solutions. Your responsibilities will include: 1. Supporting the development and maintenance of BI solutions using Power BI; 2. Working closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver reporting solutions; 3. Building dashboards and reports using data from SQL Server, Salesforce, and other data sources; 4. Maintaining structured data models using fact and dimension tables; 5. Validating data and investigating discrepancies; 6. Managing Power BI Service activities like data refreshes, access management, and workspace administration; 7. Providing end-user support and maintaining clear documentation.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have: 1. Hands-on experience with Power BI, including report building and data visualization; 2. A good understanding of DAX, Power Query, and core data modeling principles; 3. Solid SQL skills, including writing and optimizing queries in T-SQL; 4. A basic understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes; 5. Experience working with multiple data sources; 6. Strong communication skills and the ability to work with non-technical stakeholders; 7. Excellent spoken and written English language skills. Having experience with Azure or other cloud platforms, familiarity with modern data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, or Snowflake, experience working with APIs, Python, or automation tools, and understanding of CI/CD practices will be a significant advantage.
